It’s a sad day for fans of the CWverse, formerly known as the Arrowverse before The CW’s rebranding last year.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the plan to have a Batwoman/Superman & Lois crossover this year has been scrapped due to COVID-19. Furthermore, there will be no major CWverse crossover like the Crisis on Infinite Earths series fans are used to this year.

While there was no plan to have a major crossover this year anyway, the pandemic solidified the plan to no longer move forward with the smaller crossover event due to the logistical nightmare and difficulties related to safety protocols that would arise. However, John Diggle (David Ramsey) is still set to make guest appearances on The Flash, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Batwoman, and even DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in some capacity.

While this may be disappointing, safety comes first. Batwoman returns Sunday, January 17 while Superman & Lois debuts on February 23.
