New Stills Spotlight Tom Holland’s Range of Roles in ‘Cherry’
A few weeks ago the first look at Tom Holland’s range of personas in Cherry was released in poster form (Student, Thief, Soldier, Lover, Addict) and just last week a clip was released by the Russo Brothers of Cherry’s enlistment into the military. Now, new stills have dropped of Holland in action!
Cherry is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Nico Walker and follows Holland in the title role — a disenfranchised young man from Ohio who meets the love of his life Emily (Ciara Bravo), only to risk losing her through bad decisions and challenging circumstances. Cherry ends up serving in the Iraq war as an Army medic, but when he returns home, he has to battle his undiagnosed PTSD, causing him to spiral into drug addiction. After draining his finances, Cherry turns to bank robbing to fund his addiction, shattering his relationship with Emily along the way.
