In June 2020, Netflix released the Spike Lee directed film Da 5 Bloods, which garnered well-deserved high praise. On Thursday, January 7, Variety will host an exclusive Q&A session with two of the film’s stars: Delroy Lindo and Jonathan Majors. The Q&A will take place in the Variety Streaming Room, presented by Netflix. Variety’s Jenelle Riley will moderate, and attendees will also see clips from the film.
Da 5 Bloods follows four veterans and friends — Paul (Lindo), Otis (Clarke Peters), Eddie (Norm Lewis), and Melvin (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.) — who return to Vietnam years after the war to find the remains of their squad leader (Chadwick Boseman), as well as track down a chest of gold they found during the war. Joining them on their quest is Paul’s son David (Majors), who’s concerned about the mental well-being of his father.
