The Mandalorian fans are getting a nice surprise this Christmas — another installment of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, a docuseries that takes fans behind-the-scenes of the hit Disney+ series.
According to Starwars.com, this will be an hour-long special, instead of the 8-episode first season of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, that features “immersive on-set footage that places viewers right in the middle of the filmmaking process, and rare insights from the cast and crew.”
Filmmakers and cast provide unprecedented access to the storytelling decisions and innovations that went into the second season of the Emmy Award-winning series.
The first season included interviews with the Mandalorian himself Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Cara Dune (Gina Carano), and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers). Creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, as well as the directors of season 1, also joined in on the roundtable discussions. Fans were able to see never before seen footage from filming and learn about the process of bringing the hit show to life.
Season 2 of The Mandalorian has no doubt continued the momentum of season 1, capturing the hearts of new and old Star Wars fans by focusing on the quickly beloved character of Din Djarin while bringing in iconic characters from the past like Boba Fett and Ahsoka Tano. You can watch Chapters 9-15 of The Mandalorian on Disney+ now. Chapter 16, the finale of the second season, will be available for streaming this Friday, December 18.
The Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian special Making of Season Two will be available to stream on December 25. You can watch the first season of the docuseries now.
