This is most definitely the Way — Empire has revealed two exclusive covers for the magazine’s upcoming February issue, based on the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian is the first live-action Star Wars television show, starring Pedro Pascal as the mysterious, lone bounty hunter Din Djarin. The series follows Din as he traverses the outer reaches of a galaxy far, far away during a time set after the fall of the Empire.
Check out the first cover below, which was illustrated by Paul Shipper. Set on the forest planet of Corvus during season 2, episode 5 “The Jedi,” the artwork features Din Djarin holding Grogu and the beskar spear, Ahsoka Tano standing behind him with both of her lightsabers ignited, and the Razor Crest (RIP) waiting in the background.

Meanwhile, there’s also a subscriber-exclusive Grogu cover, illustrated by Sam Gilbey. As seen in season 2, episode 4 “The Siege,” the artwork depicts the Child enjoying the space macarons that he Forcefully pilfered from one of his temporary classmates. The Razor Crest lies parked in the background, and Grogu’s beloved knob taken from the ship sits in the foreground.

Empire took to Twitter to share a preview of what readers can expect from the issue.
