It’s a Wonderful Lie is hosted by Flowers who is joined by comedians Holly Laurent and Greg Hess to bring fans this short-form podcast. New episodes will be released daily through Christmas Eve with our hosts reading seemingly perfect holiday newsletters that are too good to be true and try to find the truth between the lines. Names and locations where changed to protect the identity of the writers of these holiday newsletters. These letters come through email, mail, Facebook posts and more from family members and friends as they dish on how “amazing” their year has been.
The first episode titled “Bathing Suit & A Smile” brings a hilarious letter from a former paralegal turned fitness instructor, “Lucas”, as he writes about an amazing seven day vacation in Costa Rica with his mentor and teacher “Jody”. The second episode ”You Can Taste It” is a letter from husband and father “Terrance”as he brags about the members of his family and a mishap falling off a ladder but only has one small problem, his sister-in-law won’t go home.
Holly Laurent is a writer and comedian based in Los Angeles and has been on television shows such as Drunk History, The Late Late Show With James Corbin, and Barely Famous just to name a few. Greg Hess is also a comedian and writer in Los Angeles and has written material for Abominable Pictures, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and Universal Cable Productions among others. Hess also cohosts the popular podcast Mega with Laurent. It’s a Wonderful Lie is a hilarious podcast with a refreshing twist just in time for the holidays.
