This special Saturday afternoon ushered in another StageIt performance from Louden Swain’s master of guitar, Billy Moran. Today marks Moran’s third solo StageIt show this year, with the first back in May and the second in June, followed by two full band performances with the entire Swain crew in September and November.
Moran’s StageIt shows are always a treat; today’s was no exception. And in this year of virtual performances galore, if we’re giving out awards — Moran takes the cake for the absolute best production value, hands down.
In the show’s description, Moran stated that he would be performing a bunch of tracks that have had an impact on him personally as an artist (and as a guitarist). The result was an exciting setlist jam-packed with nostalgia galore from the 80s through the 2000s, and Moran took the time between songs to explain what they each meant to him.

- Whitesnake – “Here I Go Again”
- Warrant – “Heaven”
- Aerosmith – “What It Takes”
- Duncan Sheik – “Barely Breathing”
- Fastball – “Out Of My Head”
- Aqualung – “Brighter Than Sunshine”
- Guns N’ Roses – “Sweet Child O’ Mine”
Moran then treated fans to a beloved song by his other band The Station Breaks, “Slightest Thing,” followed by a beautiful original track that he wrote for his daughters, “Presence.” Finally, he finished up an incredible show with a cover of Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again.”
Moran offered a variety of prizes for tippers for this show. The top tipper will receive a 20-minute one-on-one Zoom call with him, and the second through fourth place tippers will get together for a 10-minute group Zoom call!
As an extra special bonus, anyone that tipped over 400 notes will receive the very first Billy Moran t-shirt (pictured below) and a thank you video message.
