Louden Swain Serenades StageIt With a November to Remember Saturday Night Special

Share:

Is there honestly a better way to spend a Saturday than with Rob Benedict, Billy Moran, Michael Borja, and Stephen Norton rocking out on StageIt? (Spoiler alert: the answer is no)

It’s been a difficult year without the fun and camaraderie of conventions and concerts featuring this wonderfully talented quartet, but the band has been keeping up with the fandom in the interim with virtual concerts. The guys each put on several solo performances earlier in the year, and today marks their second 2020 virtual performance as a full band (the first was held back in September.)

Masked up (besides Rob, somebody had to sing!), Louden Swain opened up the show with an oldie but a goodie, “Alright.” They carried on with “Like the Heart Goes,” followed by “Worlds Collide” and a newer song that’s not yet recorded, the petty anthem of rock paper scissors drama known as “Basement of No Hope.” Two beloved songs were up next, “Downtown Letdown” and “Wave.”

The never-ending encore for the longest StageIt show ever followed with another newer track called “Letter,” a beautiful song that’s featured on the soundtrack of the 2010 film A Little Help called “Help You,” and the classic “Overachiever.” Much to the joy of everyone that tuned in, Louden Swain gave us a real treat by playing the classic folk song “Fare Thee Well,” which fans will remember hearing Rob’s performance of in the season 11 Supernatural episode “Don’t Call Me Shurley.”

They continued with the oh so captivating “Amazing” and “Medicated,” which featured an epic masked-up kazoo solo by Stephen. Finally, their wonderful performance finished up with “Pop Tart Heart,” “Mama’s Jam,” and “This Is How.” Fans tuned in from all over the world for today’s show, and the chat was an endless stream of excitement, happiness, and support throughout.

Swain had several different Top Supporter rewards for viewers. The top overall tipper received $150 in LoudenSwain.com store credit, the top ten tippers were treated to a 15-minute encore on Zoom after the show, and all tippers over $15 received exclusive behind-the-scenes photos/videos. Additionally, one winner was chosen at random to receive a $50 LoudenSwain.com store credit.

If all goes as planned next year, the soonest date that fans can plan to see Louden Swain live again is at Creation Entertainment’s Salute to Supernatural convention in Las Vegas, which is currently scheduled for February 18-21, 2021. There are more Supernatural convention dates scheduled throughout 2021 as well — check out the full calendar here. Due to COVID-19, Louden Swain’s standalone concert at The Red Room at Cafe 939 in Boston was recently rescheduled for August 14, 2021. They’ll be playing two back-to-back shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
