Season 2 ended on a major cliffhanger, with the Hargreeves arriving safe and sound from their time in the 6os, preventing the end of the world … again. However, when they arrive back at the Umbrella Academy, they’re greeted by dear old dad, Sir Reginald Hargreeves … who was dead last they knew. Along with Sir Reggie comes the Sparrow Academy — and Ben, alive and well once again.

The Sparrow Academy is likely the family we’ll be introduced to in episode 1, so far we can guess they’re the seven gifted children who make up Sir Reginald Hargreeves’ attempt number two at creating a superhero team, since the first time … didn’t go so well. Need some deets on just what went down at the end of season 2 and what it might mean for season 3? Check out our theories!
