One Night in Miami… tells a fictional account of real-life legends Sam Cooke, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Malcolm X as they gather in Miami in February 1964, after Ali defeated Sonny Liston. While together, they examine their responsibilities as influencers and their roles in the Civil Rights Movement as they work towards a future of equality and Black empowerment. The film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as Malcolm X, Eli Goree as Muhammad Ali, Aldis Hodge as Jim Brown, and Leslie Odom Jr. as Sam Cooke. The screenplay is written by Kemp Powers and directed by Regina King.

In the trailer, we see a more rounded glimpse of what to expect from the film, including watching the core four fall into their roles. We get glimpses of each one in their respective careers, also set against the background of the Civil Rights Movement. The trailer also provides a taste of the humor that may be present throughout the entirety of the movie. One Night in Miami… will release on Amazon Prime Video on January 15, 2021.
