The first time we heard “Potential Breakup Song” was 13 years ago when sister musicians Aly and Aj released the song on their third album Insomniatic back in 2007. Well, the song is getting a second revival, all thanks to the social media site TikTok. It seems to be the go-to song for people right now with Gordon Ramsay and the Baltimore Orioles players making videos to the song.
The sister’s TikTok debut came with a great surprise for fans. They teased that they are working on their first album in over 13 years! Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed that Aly & Aj will be releasing their first single, “Slow Dancing,” on December 2. Hmmm, I wonder if we will get to hear what song this belongs to?

Aly and Aj Michalka have had their music featured in television shows and movies on the Disney channel and even starring in a few of the shows themselves, including Cow Belles, in which they appeared together. Aly is also known for her roles on iZombie, Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television, Phil of the Future, and Hellcats. Her sister Aj even had a role on Hellcats as her half-sister; she also starred in The GoldBergs, Schooled, She-Ra and the Princess of Power, and more.
