Bernice Summerfield was first introduced as a companion in the 1990s Doctor Who novels. Since then, the archaeologist had her fair share of space and time adventures in her own Big Finish range. The Professor Summerfield is played by Lisa Bowerman and is joined in Silver Lining by Nicholas Briggs.
