The Old Vic Theater has announced that Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, The Walking Dead) will be taking on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in their virtual A Christmas Carol production this year. The production of Old Vic: In Camera – A Christmas Carol directed by Matthew Warchus is now in its fourth year, but for the first time ever, the event will have live musicians, theatrical lighting, set and costumes, and a cast consisting of 18 performers.

Other members of the cast joining Lincoln include Melissa Allan, Rosanna Bates, John Dagleish, Tim van Eyken, Sam Lathwood, Eugene McCoy, Myra McFadyen, Gloria Obianyo, Maria Omakinwa, Golda Rosheuvel, Michael Rouse, Clive Rowe, and Sam Townsend.
The production will run live from December 12-24, with 16 performances. 80,000 tickets will be available across the entire run that range in price from £10–£65. All ticket prices get the same view of the performance and will release starting November 9. Any profits that are made from the event will go towards funding the charitable activities of The Old Vic.
