Colby Minifie and Claudia Doumit Promoted to Series Regulars for Season 3 of ‘The Boys’

As reported by Deadline, Colby Minifie and Claudia Doumit have both been promoted to series regulars for season 3 of Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys.

The Boys, based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, is set in a world where superheroes exist … and they’re not all they’re cracked up to be. The most twisted of them all are The Seven, a group of celebrity Supes working under the villainous corporation Vought. The Boys, meanwhile, are a ragtag group of vigilantes working to fight back against the Supes and take them down once and for all.

Doumit joined the show in season 2 as congresswoman Victoria Neuman, who (spoiler alert!) is revealed to have powers of her own in a shocking twist at the end of the season finale. Assuming that she’s the one responsible for the insanity on the day of the trial, and for killing Susan Raynor, she clearly has an agenda that we’ll be seeing much more of in the next season. Not to mention, Hughie hung up his vigilante coat and came to Victoria asking to work with her instead after all was said and done with Stormfront, so who knows what sort of headache he’s gotten himself into this time around.

Minifie’s character, Ashley Barrett, has been around since the first season of the show. Ashley was initially the Director of Talent Relations for Vought in season 1, but she was promoted to Senior Vice President of Hero Management in season 2 after Madelyn Stillwell’s death. Ashley’s job has been an endless struggle, as she was fired after Starlight’s rant at the Believe Expo, and then forced to deal with the absolute insanity that comes with trying to “manage” The Seven as a whole upon being rehired and receiving her promotion. It remains to be seen how much hair Ashley will have left on her head in season 3 after the stress of dealing with Homelander last season.

Season 3 of The Boys is set to begin filming in early 2021. In the meantime, make sure to check out our recaps and review of season 2!
