In a fun exchange over Twitter, Demi Lovato, while replying to a tweet from E! News about having plans on November 15, announced that she will be hosting the network’s People’s Choice Awards. The announcement comes just weeks after Lovato released her newest political single, “Commander in Chief,” and performed it at the Billboard Music Awards.

Lovato began 2020 with a surprise performance at the Grammy Awards, debuting her ballad “Anyone,” her first live performance since her drug overdose in 2018. Days later she performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV, solidifying her comeback with a powerful performance. She went on to release her single, “I Love Me,” with the music video indicating that she’s ready to move on from her past and begin a new chapter in her life. The video was nominated in the Video for Good category at the MTV Video Music Awards.
