The Shadow Diaries, a new podcast from Studio71 and Snarled that features Riverdale star Madelaine Petsch and Kara Hayward from Wes Anderon’s Moonlight Kingdom, is launching this Wednesday.
The Shadow Diaries will “uncover the terrifying reality behind the glitz and glamour of the world’s number one popstar.” Petsch will play said popstar in the genre-bending series, Eliza Gold. Hayward will play a wide-eyed journalist named Shane Secco who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to shadow her childhood musical idol as her first assignment.
As Shane sets out on the opportunity, she soon realizes that Eliza’s comeback might be at the hands of something more sinister, The Divinity to be exact. Forced to question her sanity as she settles into the lives of the rich and famous and demons creep into her life, Shane will have to decide if she can look past the glamour of Hollywood — the parties, exclusive clubs, and the five-star treatment for being Eliza’s right hand — but will they both succumb to questionable nature of The Divinity?
The Shadow Diaries also features Brighton Sharbino, Carter Jenkins, Clint Howard, Constance Zimmer, Davi Santos, Lydia Hearst, Saxon Sharbino, and Zack Justice.
The first two episodes will drop tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28 with additional episodes dropping weekly. The podcast will be available to listen to wherever you stream podcasts.
