The musical film follows businesswoman Regina Fuller (Christine Baranski), who attempts to evict everyone in the town to sell it. This cruel move shocks the town and those who know her, including former best friend Margeline (Jennifer Lewis). She is visited by Dolly Parton, who is an angel, to get her to change her ways. There are multiple original songs performed by the cast, as well as dancing, of course.
