With the recent announcement that season 2 of His Dark Materials would return on HBO on November 16, a new trailer has been released! It contains more glimpses of Andrew Scott, who will be appearing more regularly after having guest starred last season, teaming up with Lin-Manuel Miranda. We also meet more of the witches, featuring several new additions to the cast. The biggest reveal of all is the appearance of the subtle knife, which will play a key role and is also the title of the second book upon which the second season is based. The action packed trailer also promises that “the greatest war that ever was is coming.”
