On Saturday, Deadline reported that Joseph Kosinski’s film Spiderhead would be getting a few familiar faces. Chris Hemsworth, Jurnee Smollett, and Miles Teller are set to star in the sci-fi tale based on George Saunders short story that first ran in The New Yorker before becoming part of his anthology, Tenth Of December. Spiderhead is set in the not so distant future, and although information on the film is limited at this time, what is known is that the film will see convicts that have been offered the opportunity to volunteer as medical test subjects in hopes that it will help shorten their sentences. It focuses mainly on two prisoners that have become test patients for emotion altering drugs that force the prisoners to battle their pasts in a facility that is run by a visionary who supervises the whole program.

Spiderhead is written by Zombieland and Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernwick.
