Deadline is reporting that Yara Shahidi will join the cast of the newest live action take on Peter Pan! According to their exclusive sources, Shahidi will play Tinkerbell in Peter Pan and Wendy, directed by David Lowery. Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson were already officially announced to be playing Peter and Wendy respectively, and Jude Law is also reported to be joining the cast as Captain Hook.
Peter Pan and Wendy joins Disney’s recent reboots and remakes of their old classics like The Lion King, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and many more. Shahidi is best known for her role on ABC’s Black-ish, which has led to Shahidi starring on her own spin-off Grown-ish for Freeform. Neither Disney nor Shahidi commented on the reported casting.
