Marvel fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see Black Widow in action again, as well as many of the newest heroes hitting the MCU.

Black Widow has been delayed to a theatrical release date of May 7, 2021. It stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (before her untimely demise in Avengers: Endgame), Florence Pugh as Yelena, Rachel Weisz as Melina, and David Harbour as Alexei/Red Guardian as they take on a new foe, Taskmaster. This was set to be the first big release of Marvel’s Phase 4.

With theaters around the US still struggling as a result of the ongoing public health crisis surrounding COVID-19, Disney and Marvel Studios have had to delay many of their upcoming projects. Also included in big MCU delays are Eternals, which has moved to November 5, 2021 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to July 9, 2021.
