The cinematic adaptation of the Broadway hit The Boys in the Band is coming to Netflix on September 30, and a trailer is finally available.

The film will feature the Tony-winning cast of the 2018 Broadway revival of The Boys in the Band. The cast includes on-screen favorites Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, and Andrew Rannels. The official summary of the movie from Netflix reads:

At a birthday party in 1968, New York, a surprise guest, and a drunken game leave seven gay friends reckoning with unspoken feelings and buried truths.

This story is seen as one of the seminal works of queer storytelling in the 20th century and has been adapted to film once before with the original 1968 Broadway cast. However, with Ryan Murphy producing, Joe Montello as director, and the already award-winning cast, this remake/revival is sure to be a favorite.
