If you’re keeping up with the new HBO series Lovecraft Country, you already know the fantastical (and kind of horrifying) worlds that exist within the show. Now, you can (safely) experience a world inspired by the show through upcoming virtual reality events called Sanctum.

Beginning on September 3, fans can enter social VR spaces that allow guests to interact with one another in real-time. The events will feature guest voiceover performances from the cast, including: Jurnee Smollett (Letitia), Jonathan Majors (Atticus), Michael Kenneth Williams (Montrose), and Courtney B. Vance (George).

The event will consist of three events spread throughout the first season:

  • Garden of Eden, September 3 at 10 p.m. ET: Wander through a whimsical garden with art installations by Devan Shimoyama, David Alabo, and Adeyemi Adegbesan. Experience afrofuturist art exploring a vision of Black power, beauty, and life.
  • An American Dream, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET: Join live performance of poetry inspired by James Baldwin, adapted by Lovecraft Country writer Shannon Houston. Jurnee Smollett will perform.
  • Music of the Cosmos, October 19 at 10 p.m. ET: Be a part of a one-of-a-kind musical experience, where the environment will allow you to become the music and the performer

For more information and updates, visit the Sanctum website. Catch Lovecraft Country on HBO on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET, streaming on HBO Max.
