After first being introduced as Chimney’s estranged half brother, Albert, last season and appearing in a recurring role, Variety has exclusively learned that John Harlan Kim has been promoted to series regular for 9-1-1‘s upcoming fourth season. Kim is best known for his role in TNT’s The Librarians as Ezekiel Jones and has also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, NCIS: Los Angeles, and The Pacific. Kim can soon be seen on the big screen opposite Denzel Washington and Rami Malek in the upcoming crime thriller The Little Things.

9-1-1‘s first and third seasons are available to stream on Hulu, and season four is expected to premiere sometime in early 2021 on FOX.
