The West Wing fans, rejoice! The cast is reuniting for the first time in over a decade to help get people out to vote in the United States’ upcoming election. They will be appearing together in a special airing on HBO Max this fall, which will consist of a special theatrical stage presentation of the episode “Hartsfield’s Landing.”

This episode recreation will feature the return of the original cast plus special guest appearances from a variety of people from different fields, including former President Obama. Partnering with Michelle Obama’s nonprofit, nonpartisan organization When We All Vote the special aims to help register as many people to vote as possible and boost the overall turnout for the 2020 election.

In preparation for their upcoming special, the cast recently got together with Entertainment Weekly for both a special cover to celebrate the magazine’s 30th anniversary and a cover story discussing why they, as United States citizens, think it is so important for people to vote. The cover and article will be featured in September’s issue, but the images from the photoshoot, as well as the video and written versions of the discussion with the cast, are available on Entertainment Weekly’s website.
