Francis Lee’s ‘Ammonite’ Starring Saoirse Ronan and Kate Winslet Releases Trailer

Neon has released a new trailer for the drama Ammonite, which stars Saoirse Ronan and Kate Winslet. The stormy love story follows fossil hunter Mary Anning (Winslet), who, due to financial circumstances, is forced to take in a wealthy young wife, Charlotte (Ronan), who suffers from “melancholia.” They seem like an odd pair at first, with Charlotte’s eccentricities throwing off Mary’s carefully ordered (and lonely) life. But as time goes on, they begin a deeper relationship than either ever expected – could they be falling in love? By the looks of the trailer, fans will love the gorgeous cinematography, not to mention the chance to watch Ronan and Winslet combine their considerable talents onscreen.

Ammonite is written and directed by Francis Lee. It also stars Gemma Jones, James McArdle, Alec Secareanu, and Fiona Shaw. It will be released on November 13, 2020, and premiere at Toronto Film Festival. Check out the trailer below!
