Return to Bayside High In New ‘Saved By the Bell’ Teaser
It seems Jessie Spano has learned from her experimentation with caffeine pills in the 30 or so years since she last walked the halls of Bayside High. In a new teaser for Peacock’s Saved by the Bell reboot, Jessie (Elizabeth Berkley Lauren) stops a student from making her old mistake as we are taken back to Bayside. The reboot is a loving parody of the original that will follow old friends and new faces in a modern take on Saved by the Bell. The full synopsis released by Peacock states:
When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality in this comedy inspired by the classic late ’80s/early ’90s sitcom of the same name.
Many original cast members are set to return, including Berkley Lauren, Mario Lopez, and Mark Paul Gosselaar. Gosselaar is also revisiting the series in a new podcast co-hosted by one of the reboot writers. Peacock has not set a premiere date for the series since its last few episodes weren’t able to be filmed amid COVID-19. Check out the teaser below!
