With Hulu’s Press Tour, they’ve been announcing many new upcoming projects. One of those includes a new comedy series titled Only Murders In the Building starring Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well Selena Gomez who will co-lead opposite them. She will executive produce the project along with Martin, Short, John Hoffman, and This Is Us creators Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal of Rhode Ave.
According to Deadline, Only Murders In the Building
“follows three strangers (Martin, Short and Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.”
The series is co-created and written by Martin and Hoffman, based on an idea by Martin. This will also mark Gomez’s acting return to television since starring in the widely popular Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007-2012 and 2013 for the reunion special. Besides her music and movie career, she’s also executive produced the controversial Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, which released its last season earlier this summer. Gomez’s new beauty line, Rare Beauty, releases September 3 at Sephora and on RareBeauty.com.
There is no word yet on a premiere date, but you can catch Gomez in her new cooking series, Selena + Chef, on HBO Max on August 13!
