Today at Comic-Con@Home, there was a panel for the History series Vikings. During the panel, they talked about filming the six seasons, fighting scenes, missing the fans, and even treating fans to the trailer’s release for the second half of season six. Attending the panel was Travis Fimmel (Ragnar), Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha), Alex Ludwig (Bjorn Ironside), Clive Standen (Rollo), Jordan Patrick Smith (Ubbe), and creator/executive producer Michael Hirst.

And Katheryn Winnick and Travis Fimmel answering the question about how their characters are faring in Valhalla. Talking about her character Lagertha, Winnick said,

I guess it’s bittersweet if I am being 100% honest in terms of being on the show for so long and having it aired and having Lagertha now gone to Valhalla. It was definitely harder than I thought, going through it, just personally, seeing my death. Seeing Lagertha transitioning over to Valhalla was a bittersweet moment in a lot of ways. Obviously, because of all the hard work and made some amazing friends, but also sad to see it end, but Michael wrote me such a great death and a funeral.

When asked what he can say about the rest of the season, Hirst replied,

The characters who we all, including me, have grown to love, will all have their fates decided. Whether they live or die is, of course, in the hands of the gods, although I had a hand in it too. I think the conclusion of this saga is deeply satisfying—a proper and meaningful ending. And I hope all our fans will feel the same way. I tried to do justice to all my characters, and I hope I’ve succeeded.

The Viking series follows Ragnar Lothbrok, his saga, and those of his family as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes.
