SDCC Teams Up With IGN for Comic-Con@Home

It was a disappointment to say the least when Comic-Con had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the unique solutions and opportunities that have been presented for Comic-Con@Home to compensate for said loss are shaping up to make the convention one for the history books. In one of the latest convention updates, it’s been announced that SDCC and IGN have launched an exclusive collaboration to “bring entertainment and pop culture’s largest annual event to the digital live stream landscape”!

This year marks the first time in SDCC’s long history that the convention will be purely digital, presenting a unique opportunity to reach an even larger audience than normal. IGN’s involvement will undoubtedly aid in this endeavor, as the company reaches over 200 million around the world monthly.

Select Comic-Con@Home panels will be airing across SDCC’s platforms in addition to IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch. Custom programming is set to be made available on IGN’s Snapchat, Instagram, and other OTT platforms.

We can’t wait to see what panels and interviews lie in store. Comic-Con@Home will be hosted from July 22-26. See you there!
