In the film, Garcia will play a computer nerd named Kip Parsons, who, according to a dating website, is unmatchable. She becomes the spokesperson to frustrated singles after a post she made about being unmatchable goes viral. The catch is that the online dating service says that they did not reject her profile.
The script is from Betsy Morris. It will be produced by Marian Yeager, who is also directing, and Monica Lund. Match Me If You Can is set to start filming in the spring of 2021 in Texas, pandemic pending.
You can catch Garcia as Ella Lopez when the fifth season of Lucifer airs on Netflix in August.
