The upcoming Soul, from Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, has a new teaser trailer!

The computer animated film follows Joe, a middle school band teacher who dreams of becoming a jazz performer. He gets his shot at his dream by impressing fellow jazz musicians during a performance, but before he gets his big break, an accident changes everything. Joe’s soul is separated from his body and is transported to The Great Before, a place where souls get their personalities, quirks, and interests before heading to Earth. While there, Joe teams up with another soul named 22, and the two work together to get Joe’s soul back to his body and learn a few things in the process.

Soul is directed by Peter Doctor and features Jamie Foxx as Joe. It also features the voice talents of Tina Fey, Angela Bassett, Daveed Diggs, Ahmir Questlove Thompson, and Phylicia Rashad. The minute-long teaser features the song “Parting Ways,” which was written, produced, and performed by Cody Chesnutt.

Since the film’s original release date of June 2020 was delayed, it is now set to be released on November 20.
