Get ready islanders, your Animal Crossing: New Horizons… horizons are about to get broader.
Nintendo released the preview for the first wave of summer updates coming to Tom Nook’s little slice of paradise, and it’s a big one. Starting July 3, swimming and diving are coming to an island near you. Plunge into the deep blue sea and search for critters like star fish, scallops, and sea anemones to gather for your museum. Blathers awaits your (non-wretched) donations.
Along with diving comes a new non-player character, Pascal the otter! Gift him your found treasures for a chance to get some exclusive deep sea DIY recipes, including mermaid themed items to create that perfect ocean oasis.
It would appear Gulliver has also received a makeover… or maybe a promotion? What this means is still to be uncovered, but don’t forget to comb your beach for that saucy seagull every morning.
There will be another update in early August as well! Details on that have not been announced but it’s clear that Nintendo is ready to keep their newest hit engaging and new for a long time to come.
