BBC announced today that David Tennant and Michael Sheen, who starred together in Good Omens last year, will be reunited in a new comedy series called Staged. The series will follow the cast of a West End play, who has been furloughed due to COVID-19, trying to keep up with rehearsals. Tennant and Sheen will be joined by Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, and Lucy Eaton. Guest stars will be announced later with Nina Sosanya already confirmed.

The series will consist of six 15-minutes episodes. It will be produced by Infinity Hill and GCB Films, based on an idea of Simon Evans and Phin Glynn. Phin Glynn, Victor Glynn, and Georgia Tennant will produce it, with Tennant and Sheen as executive producers. Axel Kuschevatzky and Cindy Teperman will be the executive producers for Infinity Hill and Geoff Iles for GCB.
