Despite all that’s happening in the world, singer-songwriter Cobi has released another single to bring a little peace to our lives. His latest song is titled “Don’t Stop” and is undoubtedly one for the books.
In an interview with American Songwriter, Cobi mentions the song is dedicated to his wife, “for all of her understanding and compassion” helping him make it through losing his father and adjusting to life as parents together. It’s easy to hear the love and appreciation he holds for her, from describing the way he’s pulled out of the darkest reaches of his mind to leaning on her as a guide to overt praise. “Don’t Stop” sets the standard for every love song that succeeds it.
Musically, the minimal instrumentation and choral back-up help emphasize Cobi’s intent with the song, as well as accentuate his swooping and powerful vocals. This song is certain to send chills up and down your spine and is a must-add to your playlist.

While Cobi has been slowly releasing singles throughout this year, he also revealed in a Paste Studio live session that a full length album is on the way. He mentions a summer release date, but as the pandemic has brought everything to a standstill, there is no word yet on whether summer is still the projected release or if it’s being pushed.
