Netflix Announces Release Date for ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Interactive Special

It’s a miracle! The interactive special for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has finally received a release date! The new special, fully titled Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend, will premiere on Netflix on May 12. Not only will viewers be able to follow Kimmy and her friends on more crazy adventures, but they will also get to choose what happens on those adventures.

The special will see the return of Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper), Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm), Lillian (Carol Kane), Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess), and Jacqueline White (Jane Krakowski). Daniel Radcliffe will also be joining the cast in the role of Frederick, a new character. Watch a sneak peek of the special below.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a Netflix original series that ran for four seasons from 2015-2019. It was created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. The show follows Kimmy Schmidt who’s thrown into real life after being kidnapped and locked in an underground bunker. After making the move to New York City, Kimmy learns how to take control of her life again with the help of her roommate Titus, her landlord Lillian, and her former employer Jacqueline.  Did I mention that this hilarious show is also perfect quarantine viewing? It is.
