Enver Gjokaj of ‘Agent Carter’ to Guest Star on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’; New Trailer Released
Fans of the short-lived but beloved Marvel series Agent Carter will definitely be happy about this casting news! As reported exclusively by Entertainment Weekly, Enver Gjokaj will guest star on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s upcoming seventh and final season!
Gjokaj played Agent Sousa on Agent Carter, the main love interest of Hayley Atwell’s Agent Peggy Carter. The series ended in 2016 after two seasons, all of which took place prior to the events of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the 1940s. But with the show in the midst of a time-travel plot, it seems Sousa will be able to meet the current-day characters. Hayley Atwell was previously announced as appearing in the final season as well, though there is no word on whether the two will interact on the show.
Agent Carter premiered in 2015 and followed the adventures of Agent Peggy Carter and her fellow SSR agents in post-World War 2 America. It starred Hayley Atwell (reprising her role from the MCU films), James D’Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, and Enver Gjokaj.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D premiered in 2013 and will air its seventh and final season starting May 27 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. Be sure to check out the EW article for exclusive scoop on the upcoming season and check out the newest trailer for season 7 below!
