Pardon my brashness dear, but the boys are back and ain’t we proud!

It was announced this week that Playbill will be streaming Broadway’s 2017 musical Bandstand as part of their new series, Playbill Playback. This Tony Award-winning musical will be available to stream for $6.99 on April 10 at 8 p.m. ET to April 17 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Actor Fund. The purchase will last 72 hours and include the full production as well as a new interview conducted by Ruthie Fierberg from Playbill, with Corey Cott, Laura Osnes, Beth Leavel, director-choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and co-creators Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor.

Here is what’s in store when you watch this poignant and inspiring musical:

It’s 1945. As America’s soldiers come home to ticker-tape parades and overjoyed families, Private First Class Donny Novitski, singer and songwriter, struggles to rebuild the life he left behind. When NBC announces a national competition to find the nation’s next great musical superstars, Donny sees a lifeline for himself and some fellow veterans that gives them the purpose they so desperately need. Together, they form a band unlike any the nation has ever seen. Along the way, they discover the power of music to face the impossible, find their voice, and finally feel like they have a place to call home.”

I got a theory, that this is exactly what we need right now, we deserve it! Head over right this way to pre-order now and don’t forget to join the original cast on Saturday, April 11 at 8 p.m. for a live watch party on Twitter!
