In a Deadline exclusive, the spy drama series In from the Cold has been picked up with an eight episode order by Netflix. The series is set to star Margarita Levieva as Jenny, an American single mom forced by the CIA to confront her past as a Russian spy and KGB experiment with special abilities. Jenny is forced out of hiding to prove her innocence or risk her family.

Filming is reportedly slated to begin in March in Madrid, Spain. Levieva, who recently finished co-starring as Abby on the HBO series The Deuce, is no stranger to playing a Russian spy, as that was her role in NBC’s Allegiance. Levieva is also known for her roles in The Blacklist and Revenge. Glass’ previous writing and producing credits include Supernatural, Cold Case, and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
