As exclusively reported by Entertainment Weekly, the Archie-verse’s newest show Katy Keene will have a screening and panel at BroadwayCon 2020 featuring cast members from the show. The show follows Katy Keene, Josie McCoy, Jorge Lopez, and Pepper Smith as they each try to “make it” in different creative disciplines in New York City (including Broadway). Josie McCoy, played by Ashleigh Murray, has previously appeared on the popular CW show Riverdale, which is also based on characters created by Archie Comics. The official synopsis released by The CW states:

Aspiring fashion designer Katy Keene (Lucy Hale) meets Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), fresh off the bus to chase her musical dreams. Their world is populated with kindred-spirit starving artists, including mysterious socialite Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) and Broadway-bound performer Jorge Lopez — and his drag queen alter ego, Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp). While their climb to the top is rife with obstacles, this found family will stop at nothing to see their names in lights.

The cast members set to appear are Lucy Hale (Katy Keene), Ashleigh Murray (Josie McCoy), Julia Chan (Pepper Smith), Katherine LaNasa (Gloria Grandbilt), Camille Hyde (Alexandra Cabot), Zane Holtz (K.O. Kelly), and Jonny Beauchamp (Jorge). Executive producer Michael Grassi will also appear.

BroadwayCon is an annual event in New York City devoted to all things Broadway. This year’s event will take place from January 24-26, 2020, with the Katy Keene panel happening on January 25. For more information on pricing, guests, and more, head over to the BroadwayCon website!
