Adam Driver and Kristen Stewart to be Honored at Hollywood Critics Association Awards
The Hollywood Critics Association will be holding their third annual Hollywood Critics Association Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 9, 2020. The decade specific award ceremony will say goodbye to 2019 by celebrating an incredible decade for film.
The HCA’s goal is to build a diversified community of professional critics with a love and passion for entertainment, including film and television.
HCA COO Ashley Menzel stated “The past 10 years have not only featured remarkable films and filmmaking, but they also served as a time for change within the industry” .
The ceremony will celebrate the decade with a special montage and decade specific awards including:
Actor of the Decade
Actress of the Decade
Filmmaker of the Decade
Producer of the Decade
Next Generation of Hollywood
This year the star of Marriage Story and Star Wars Adam Driver is being honored with the Actor of the Decade Award, and Kristen Stewart of Seberg will receive the Actress of the Decade Award. The other recipients include, Incendies and Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve, who will be honored as the Filmmaker of the Decade, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, the founder of Stay Gold Features, will be receive the Producer of the Decade award. Lundberg has helped produce over 15 films in the decade, including Harriet, Honey Boy, Beasts of No Nation and The Kids Are All Right.
The Next Generation of Hollywood award celebrates actors and actresses aged 25 or under whose work in the last decade has proven that they are the next generation of Hollywood. Award recipients will include, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Zoey Deutch, Brooklynn Prince, Thomasin McKenzie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Jack Dylan Grazer, Mckenna Grace, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Shahadi Wright Joseph.
