RJ Watches has another exciting collaboration: they have been chosen by Marvel Studios, to create two watches inspired by The Amazing Spider-Man. The designs on the watches truly capture the superhero throughout the entire design to produce a watch fit for fans, enthusiasts, and Spider-Man.

“RJ is known for our tributes to comics and pop culture, integrating these elements thoughtfully into our timepieces. It was a pleasure for us to work closely with the team at MARVEL Studios, who has put its trust in our hands for the creation and development of our first complicated watch designed in honor of Spider-Man. His inspiration goes much deeper than the watch’s form, but also its function, with the design of its web-like movement”
This also marks the first time for a movement part to be manufactured entirely in-house. The central tourbillon movement was developed and produced at RJ Studios in Elysins. This decision was inspired by the creation and designs for the Marvel watches.
Spider-Man was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in a comic book in 1962. Since then, the fictional character has appeared in TV shows, movies, comic books, video games, and more. Peter Parker became Spider-Man after getting bitten by a radioactive spider. After that, Peter developed powers related to a spider, shooting spider-webs, clinging to walls, and even a “Spidey-sense.”
The first watch is Spider-Man trapped in a tourbillon and is available in two types of materials. The first is red, in a high-performance composite that combines layers of black carbon and red fibreglass. The other is made of all carbon in a stealth black with gleaming grey and an anthracite tone for that ninja Spider-Man look.
The hours and minutes are displayed exceptionally in a peripheral format made possible by a planetary gear system orbiting around the tourbillon. The hands of the watch have been shaped to imitate the legs of the legendary spider icon. One of my favorite parts about this watch is the grade 5 titanium tourbillon cage and wheel train that has an open design shaped like a spider web. The winding mechanism was designed to not have a crown. Winding is done by lifting a hoop found on the back of the case and turning a key that enables faster winding than with a traditional crown. To set the time, the wearer presses a hidden push button in the strap at 6 o’clock while turning the hoop in either direction.
The straps of the ARRAW Spider-Man tourbillon is made of black polyamide and evokes the texture of the superheroes suit. Embellished with the spider icon that has been formed on the bracelet in between the lugs and secured with a black rubber inlay for sturdiness and comfort. It is also outfitted with the exchangeable ARRAW strap system, to be released easily.
For the first time, the ARRAW watch box has been customized with Spider-Man’s characteristics. It is made of black wood to resemble a spider with eight legs fixed to the side. Spider-man’s web and logo are engraved on the lid. In the box, the watch looks like it was captured in a steel spider web that is removable. They have outdone themselves with this design and collector’s item.
The Spider-Man watch features a skeleton movement that was manufactured at RJ Studio and is shaped like a spider web. The main plate and bridges are filled with red lacquer and give a view of the regulator at the 6 and 12 o’clock point because of the open-faced design.
The open-worked dial gives depth and dimension from the inner bezel where the minutes are shown. The arrow-shaped hands are at the center of the movement, with the red lacquered small second hands take the form of the Spider-Man symbol.
The back of the watch is made of grade 5 titanium and features a cartridge engraving method where the letters are polished to stand out. The straps of the watch are also interchangeable with the ARRAW collections and made of black polyamide for strength and comfort like the superhero’s suit. Between each leg of the strap is a spider icon with the stitching similar to the stealth suit pattern.
