Legoland Florida Resort invites fans to #VacationLikeAPirate in 2020 with the launch of the “Year of the Pirate!” The opening of Legoland Pirate Island Hotel is just one of the awesome pirate-themed events for the season. 2020 will also see pirate-themed event days and a brand new pirate water ski show at Legoland Water Park. Check out the list below for the amazing new pirate inspired events coming to Legoland in 2020.

Legoland Pirate Island Hotel Grand Opening – April 17

Located exactly 130 kid-steps from the park entrance, the 5-story Legoland Pirate Island Hotel will include 150 Lego-filled rooms, a heated pool complete with Lego soft bricks to build in the pool, hundreds of Lego models, in-room Lego treasure hunts and exclusive character experiences. Much like the Legoland Hotel, each room will include a kid’s sleeping area separate from the adult area. The hotel will also host the pirate-themed Shipwreck Restaurant featuring family friendly dining, the Smuggler’s Bar for adult pirates, an entertainment area for kid’s with nightly programming, and Lego play areas. Directly outside the entrance, a pirate shipwreck will greet guests as they arrive to the hotel and offer a unique photo experience.

Pirate Water Ski Show Adventure – April 18

The one and only Legoland Resort water ski show in the world, Battle for Brickbeard’s Bounty, will close after an 8-year run to make way for the new pirate adventure with skiing acrobatics, water stunts, pirate humor and more surprises.

PirateFest Weekends – April 18-19, 25-26 & May 2-3

Guests of all ages can learn to walk, talk, and vacation like a pirate in this new three-weekend event. Guests can complete an exclusive “pirate passport” while exploring resort activities, meet exclusive pirate characters, and run a rig with a pirate bunch following the grand opening of Pirate Island Hotel.
