Celebrate Christmas Early With Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas

There’s nothing like Christmas in the Smokies. Start the Christmas festivities early! Voted the Best Theme Park Christmas Event in America for 12 consecutive years, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas presented by Humana returns November 9, 2019 thru January 4, 2020. During this holiday event, guest’s can enjoy Christmas entertainment, delicious holiday meals, all the fun a Dollywood Christmas has to offer, and of course enjoy the parks festival of more than five million lights.

This year park guests will have so much more to explore with the opening of Wild Grove earlier this year and the opening of Glacier Ridge last season. Explore the winter wonderland of Glacier Ridge which includes the park areas of Timber Canyon, Wildwood Grove, Wilderness Pass and the upper portion of Craftsman’s Valley. Don’t miss out on the spectacular 50-ft. tall Christmas tree displayed in the middle of the plaza at Wilderness Pass, along with a light show complete with holiday hits bringing the plaza to life every 30 minutes.

Guests entering through Timber Canyon will be in for a magical treat. The Arctic Passage, is a 130-ft. long programmable light tunnel that will transport you into Glacier Ridge in a breathtaking display of light and color, after arriving from the tunnel you’ll be greeted by polar bears at Drop Line Bay, and guests coming into Glacier Ridge through Craftsman’s Valley can enjoy a beautiful light installation replicating the aurora borealis.

Guests interested in purchasing a season pass for Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas will have unlimited admission to this year’s Christmas festival  and unlimited admission for Dollywood’s entire 2020 season.

However, guests should make sure to purchase their 2020 season pass online now or upgrade their paid one-day admission ticket on the day of their visit. Ticket purchasers will receive credit for the value of a regular one-day ticket toward the purchase of a 2020 season pass.
