Fans have been waiting for The Witcher for a long time. Soon, the wait will be over. The Netflix original series drops on December 20, right in time for a Christmas binge.

The show is based on the best-selling books by Andrzej Sapkowski, though a lot of people know about the series because of the video games with the same title. Witchers are beast hunters with supernatural abilities, and the show follows the adventures of Witcher Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill). In the books, he unknowingly ties as yet unborn princess Ciri (Freya Allan) to himself, which will have consequences for the entire world.

The full length trailer hints that this show will be of epic proportions, just like fans all over the world have hoped. Will this trump Game of Thrones? Watch the show and decide for yourself.

Despite having been a fangirl for as long as she can remember, it wasn’t until Emelie left the security of her hometown in the north of Sweden for the hustle and bustle of Gothenburg, that she found her tribe and really immersed herself in fandom. She currently works as second line field engineer tech support, and shares her home with cats Loki and Stiles. In her free time you can find her either playing Dungeons & Dragons 5e, or on Twitter (@killingnormalcy) yelling about Critical Role, Marvel, Twenty One Pilots, and Overwatch.
