
Rian Johnson’s Knives Out is creating quite the buzz this season. After successful screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, and London Film Festival, among many others, the film is holding steady at a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics and viewers alike can’t sing enough praises about this modern day spin on the classic Agatha Christie “whodunnit” and the Independent Film Festival Boston is giving you a chance to see it for free on October 30!
Knives Out follows a combative and eccentric family after the death of their patriarch, Harlan Thrombey, the morning after his 85th birthday. Secrets are uncovered about this manipulative and greedy family, including Harlan’s caregiver, and everyone is a suspect. The film stars Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Ana de Armas, Katherine Langford, Michael Shannon, and many other familiar faces as clues are uncovered, leading to a shocking twist of an ending.

IFFBoston is holding a free screening for Knives Out on Wednesday, October 30 at the AMC Boston Common. Passes are required and can be downloaded here. The event is first-come first-served and the theatre is not responsible for seating over capacity.
