Rian Johnson’s ‘Brick’ To Get First US Blu-ray Release
Just before the release of his latest film Knives Out, writer/director Rian Johnson announced the first US Blu-ray release of his first full length feature Brick. Brick is a 2005 modern noir starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Brendan, a teen trying to solve the murder of the love of his life, Emily (Emilie de Ravin). The special release will include bonus features such as commentary from the cast and crew, and the film’s 4K restoration that Johnson supervised. It will be available January 7, 2020 and any pre-orders will not ship until then.
At long last, a US blu of Brick is coming. @steveyedlin and I supervised a brand new gorgeous transfer, very very excited that this will be out there. https://t.co/MZJixdeuxJ

Brick won a Special Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival in 2005 and has remained a cult classic in the years since its release. It is also the first of two collaborations between Johnson and Gordon-Levitt, who would work together again on Looper.
Rian Johnson is best known for directing Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Looper, The Brothers Bloom, and Brick. His new film Knives Out hits theaters on November 27 and features an all-star cast including Toni Collette, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Katherine Langford, Michael Shannon, and Christopher Plummer, among many others.
