The Joker and Two-Face Limited Edition Watches Available

RJ Watches joined forces with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment to design their latest creation. Channelling the dark side with two DC Comics Villains has inspired watches by two of Batman’s and Gotham’s biggest enemies, The Joker and Two-Face. Each watch will be a limited edition, with only 100 of each made. The Joker will be a self-winding chronograph, and the Two-Face watch has a manual winding movement.

RJ Watches CEO and Creative Director Marco Tedeschi welcomed the latest collaboration:

“It is a statement of confidence in RJ’s place in both popular culture and watchmaking that Warner Bros and DC Entertainment have collaborated with us to bring their most infamous villains to life as rare, limited edition collectors’ watches. The villains of the DC Comics universe have always appealed to audiences around the world for their evil brilliance and ability to shock and thrill in equal measure. We believe that our first two DC Comics Villains watches will be a fitting tribute to their spirit of anarchy and disruption.”

The Joker has been around since the first edition of the DC comic in 1940. He is a criminal mastermind with a twisted sense of humor. This calculating clown inspires the watch with design cues from his character throughout, from razor-tipped playing cards to his face make-up.

Each is hand-painted so that no watch will have the same make-up. The dial is the Joker’s face with two black eyes at the center fading to whites at the edges. Other features include anti-reflective sapphire glass and watch hands styled with an Ace playing card. Everyone comes with three interchangeable colourful straps and a deck of Joker playing cards.

Harvey Dent used to help Batman as a district attorney. But Two-Face is a complicated villain after being attacked with sulphuric acid and disfiguring his face to be split in two like his personality after going insane from the injuries. Now, he flips a coin to make life and death decisions.

This watch uses a distressed skeleton design to show the twisted physical and mental state of Two-Face. The left-hand side is structured, while the right is exposed to reveal the inner workings. The watch reflects the two personalities. The clean side has a laser engraved coin as the second hand. The straps have a clean and distressed side that can be removed by pressing the Batman logo button. Each comes with an exclusive Two-Face coin.

Both watches come in the all-new ARRAW case, which is in a circular satin-brushed 45mm titanium version. With four rubber bumpers, shaped lugs and arrow hands. The Joker design comes crowned by titanium bezel that is laser engraved with a chaotic Joker image. Two-Face has a distressed outer bezel where the laser engraved titanium bezel and calf leather strap have been intentionally made to show the disfiguration of the character.
