Dreamer fans, rejoice — Max Evans is returning to Roswell. Jason Behr has been confirmed as joining Roswell, New Mexico in a recurring role for the series’ upcoming second season. Behr appeared as Max Evans in all three seasons of Roswell, which aired on the WB and UPN from 1999-2002. The role is currently played by Nathan Parsons on Roswell, New Mexico, which like the original adapts Melinda Metz’s book series Roswell High.

Executive producer Carina Adly Mackenzie confirmed the news, telling TV Line that:

“We’re very excited that Jason will be joining us for a multi-episode arc. It’s only fitting that he’s playing a (currently top secret) character with deep ties to Roswell, New Mexico’s history. Working with him has already been such a special experience for all of us, particularly when [Roswell co-star] Shiri Appleby was on set to direct him. I was such a huge fan of Roswell as a kid, so having their stamp of approval –– not to mention their expertise and advice –– has really meant the world to me, the cast and the crew.”

Roswell, New Mexico will return for its second season in early 2020. The first season is now streaming on Netflix. The original series featuring Behr and Appleby is available to stream on Hulu.
