‘Torchwood: The Vigil’ Out Today

A new Torchwood story is out today! Torchwood: The Vigil features Toshiko Sato played by Naoko Mori and a new recruit Sebastian Vaughan played by Hugh Skinner (Mamma Mia 2). This story is part of the Torchwood – Monthly Range, andis written by Lou Morgan and directed by Lisa Bowerman. Bowerman is well known by Big Finish listeners for playing Bernice Summerfield in her own audio drama series.

Check the synopsis below!

Sebastian Vaughan is the brightest, newest recruit to Torchwood. He’s come from a very good family, an excellent school, and with a degree from the finest college. He’s the kind of person bred for Torchwood.

Sebastian Vaughan is exactly the person Torchwood needs. He’s charming, he’s smart, and he’s good in a fight. He’s taken Torchwood’s other new recruit under his wing. With his help, Toshiko Sato will make something of herself and fit in at Torchwood.

Sebastian Vaughan is dead. Toshiko Sato’s been given permission to bring his body home to give him the send-off he deserves. How will Torchwood cope without him?

Lou Morgan stated, “I absolutely loved writing this story and being able to see it brought to life in the studio – not least because Tosh is such a fantastic and layered character. We all know how she came to join the Torchwood team, but by going right back to those early days and partnering her with another new recruit (who is everything she isn’t) we get a chance to see what really drives her, as well as what it takes to be part of Torchwood… and what it costs.”

Torchwood: The Vigil is available to purchase here. It can be bought as a CD or a download. The CD comes with a free download version. Each Torchwood – Monthly Range is available individually but also as a bundle including six stories.
